CellPoint Connect AB, developer of high-end Bluetooth headsets today announced the launch of the Flamingo Wired Headset line featuring the Flamingo Music and the Flamingo Mobile versions at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Wired Headsets have been recognized by the CES Innovation Awards and feature the comfortable and secure fit of the EarClick wearing technology. The headsets will be available in a variety of colors.
It is a nice kit, though we question if this really is every woman's must-have handbag accessory. The Sony Ericsson HBH-PV712's pack-ins include two interchangeable style-up covers, a unique lanyard as necklace, handsome travel bag, and a charger. The set itself features 15 hour talk time, 500 hours of standby time, weighs 14 grams, and DSP with fast automatic volume adjustment. Here's hoping they release a Man's man version with an NHL Hockey motif, packed in a semi-ruined mini gym bag -- including all the required dirt and stains -- and scented with the finest meat and potatoes.
Most personal area networking (PAN) connectivity employed in electronic games today is provided by Bluetooth. Of the three giant gaming vendors that control most of the market - Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft - only Microsoft has employed a proprietary connectivity technology. Bluetooth is set to grow strongly in this market, and a new Research Brief from ABI Research forecasts Bluetooth shipments for non-portable gaming consoles to peak at over 115 million units in 2009 before declining to 2007 levels in 2012. Bluetooth looks set to continue as the PAN technology of choice in the medium term, although some factors are working against it.
